Utilities and services

Utilities and services for SilverStar homeowners

Who runs what on the mountain, who sends the bills, and who to call. SilverStar is a rural area, not a town, so services come from several providers.

Who provides utilities at SilverStar?

Water comes from the RDNO’s Silver Star Water Utility (about 800 customers, user-pay and metered). Sewer is run by a private company, Silverhawk Utilities; the RDNO has approval to borrow up to $4.5 million to buy it, but no deal had been reached as of June 2026. FortisBC supplies piped gas (it bought Stargas in 2022). AIM Roads clears Silver Star Road and the resort roads, and the RDNO runs the transfer station and the Silver Star Fire Department.
